Venice Film Festival: Joaquin Phoenix Takes Actor Prize

Venice has just announced its winners. Paul Thomas Anderson takes Best Director while both Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix win Best Actor for The Master from the Weinstein Company. The film also took home the Special Jury Prize. Are the Weinstein’s already gearing up for a powerful Oscar campaign and breakthrough for the film? We shall see.
